Publishing Consultant £40K-50K OTE No Cap B2B/B2C

Core activities for Publishing Consultant include:
- Make calls to our database with a view to building solid, trust-based relationships with our prospects in order to facilitate sales (selling book packages that enable business owners to become published authors of high quality books, quickly and easily)
- Operate with consistency, positivity and a service mindset.
- Build great relationships with our clients to gather referrals and create business development opportunities.
- Grow WBR confirmed event attendance and be there to close on the day. Opportunity to attend other industry events.
- Work to targets.
- Close sales.
This is a full time position that comes with full product training - knowledge of the publishing industry is not necessary. With that said, an understanding of business and entrepreneurship is essential, as is a passion for the power of books. Marketing expertise is advantageous. You won’t be confined to a particular sales process if you have something that works for you - our best practice process will be shared with you and ongoing training provided. The preferred communication style for our target market is consultative, so experience with coaching and/or SPIN selling would be advantageous.
You’ll be advising on a range of different business book-related products and services, all of which centre around turning successful business leaders into published authors, so there are multiple income streams available to you. We have a database of cold right through to ready-to-close prospects and marketing systems in place. Your close needs to be strong and professional as you'll be selling high value products for the most-part, with some smaller ticket items and upselling to support your ongoing output. You'll have the opportunity to meet with the business owner twice each week to discuss opportunities/progress/challenges/training/targets. This is a great opportunity to refine your consultative sales skills, carve out a niche for yourself, and earn respect in a unique business and industry.
This role is commission-only, with quarterly performance-related bonuses on top. Average sale is £12,000, with other packages ranging from £2,000 - £60,000. Likely first year OTE for an experienced sales consultant £40,000 - £50,000, no caps. Could double that by third year.
32 days annual leave (including public holidays and Christmas shut down), paid at a pro rata rate
10 flexi-hours per year
